"Little Slice of Venice"
Island Breeze Inn
My husband and I stayed two nights at the Island Breeze Inn on Venice Island. It was conveniently located within walking distance to beautiful downtown Venice Avenue and a short drive to the beach. The room was clean and neat, a little short on the towels and hangers, but it was a nice place to spend a few nights.

“Not what we expected…and we were pleased!”
Island Sun Inn
So, Island Sun Inn doesn't exude opulence…but you will be pleasantly surprised by these very affordable digs! Their location is directly on Tamiami Trail on Venice Island, only a short walking distance to the hospital and Publix…and fortunately for us, our home. That was great, since our son stayed there while visiting us!
[...] All looked very clean and we will definitely recommend them again. Plus, what a bonus! Blu Island Bistro (awesome restaurant…check it out on Trip Advisor!) is located in this same inn!

“Excellent place to stay.”
Island Sun Inn
Loved my stay at the Island Sun Inn. Not a fancy and overly glamorous hotel however the room was large and very clean. Lots of TV channels to choose from in the late evenings and there was even a pool. The hotel was conveniently located to many different beaches and the center of town as well. I most definitely plan to stay here again on my next visit.

At first we decided not to stay, felt like it was not fancy enough (my husband), I felt it had great charm! Turns out - Great character, wonderful customer service (shout out to Ms. Whitney!).
I thoroughly enjoyed the charm, the peace and the weather.

Good location. Nice place to stay for the night. Old florida feel. Friendly staff. I was happy with it. For the price I think it was my best choice.I would recommend staying here. The king size bed was pretty comfortable.

“Nostalgic, quaint, eco friendly-recommend”
This is not the chain hotel experience. More mom&pop. Clean, functional room & bath. Exceptionally comfortable bed. Room w/king bed accommodated two adults comfortably and room w/double bed accommodated two teens comfortably. Easy access to shopping and beach, but walking to either probably not ideal-biking would be reasonable. Quick car ride to both. [...]

“Friendly, Clean and good location”
I was in Venice with my class from Rollins. Our professor booked the rooms so I did not choose it but I am not complaining. The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and the beds were great. I wouldn't normally pick a place like this when traveling but when I travel but when I come back I will be staying here. Thank you Ladies for a great stay.

"Charming Beach Inn"
The Island Sun Inn was such a great surprise. We spent Christmas at Caspersen Beach hunting shark teeth for the 2nd year in a row. This inn was pretty much the closest place to the beach. I called and booked the rooms a few weeks before so that we wouldn't have to drive back to Bonita Springs. I was so pleasantly surprised when we arrived! If you are looking for a cookie cutter, brand new place to stay, this isn't for you. But if you like old style Florida charm I strongly encourage you to give it a shot. All the rooms open to the courtyard which is where you'll find the pristine pool, ping pong and bag toss. Our room was so clean and bright and very spacious. And the restaurant onsite is a MUST! DElish. Planning on returning next year.

I stayed at this hotel 3 nights while visiting family and friends in Venice. This is definitely a locally-owned hotel as the front desk is only open from 9am to 9pm. However, if you call ahead they are pretty good about making accommodations for later check in. Some of the front desk staff were excellent while others could have been more polite.
The room itself was very spacious, with a large shower and detachable shower head (definitely a plus after a day at the beach). Plenty of pillows were provided and linens were in good condition, though an update to the mattresses should be next on this hotel's priority list. They were okay, but old and firm. WiFi and microfridge worked well. Hotel room had French doors opening to the courtyard and pool which looked very nice. Hotel even surprised me with a little new years kit (hat, cider, chocolate, noisemakers) since I stayed New Years Eve. Overall pretty good stay for a good value (given Venice prices).
As a side note, my family stayed in the Motel 6, one of the only comparably-priced properties in Venice, and I saw that given the similar price, the Island Sun rooms and property were much larger and cleaner. Island Sun was also much more secure and had free wifi.

"Saved us on Christmas night"
When we arrived Christmas evening at our vacation rental on venice beach, it was a disaster. The living room was flooded and the property was unlivable. In spite of calling the vacation rental company, we got no response. 6 of us with two kids -- it was a tough night.
Luckily, TripAdvisor pointed us to island sun inn, where there were vacant rooms. When we showed up the office was closed, but there was a phone outside abs ted showed up in 5 minutes, in spite of it being Christmas night.
We got three rooms, which were clean and comfortable. Thanks island sun inn, thanks ted in particular.

It's a great place to stay. Very comfortable bed which is number one for me. The French doors open to the pool with a fridge and microwave in the room. A flat panel tv and small table with two chairs top it off. If you can get a good discount price, this is the place to stay!

We have used this hotel 3 times so far and Ted has made everytime a wonderful experience. He is courteous and friendly, professional and always kind. Our rooms have been perfect, housekeeping is efficient and I have no complaints at all. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and clean place to enjoy a get away.

"Lovely little gem"
This little gem was exactly what we were looking for...price was extremely reasonable compared to other accommodation in the area, location was convenient (10 minute walk to the strip), clean room, comfortable bed, quaint and cozy American motel feel.

"Quaint and Immaculate in the heart of Venice"
My husband and I got a last minute inexpensive room for the Labor Day weekend. We loved this place and would definitely return. It was very clean and although our unit had the small bathroom, the shower head was great and towels softer than a few other budget places we have stayed. The ceilings and doors were solid wood and newly refinished and pine oiled. We had all the amenities including heated pool, fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. The staff were pleasant and helpful. We felt that it added to the charm of visiting Venice and have never been opposed to older buildings as long as they are clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed a lovely weekend for a lot less money and a lot more charm. P.S. If you need a full size bathroom, make sure to let them know when making reservations as this bathroom was VERY small.

"Great staff, good location, warm welcome"
My husband and I spent a night at the Island Breeze Inn for a super affordable and fun one night get away. We were warmly greeted by Grace, who had just checked our room to make sure everything was spotless. The wooden ceiling in the room was a unique touch, and the tile floors lent to the overall cleanliness. The pool area was small but we enjoyed eating a snack and taking a dip when we returned from the beach. We liked the close proximity to the historic downtown area that allowed us to walk to breakfast and shops. The area behind the lobby had a small garden area with a table, and we would love to see this garden area behind the rooms extended. This would be a nice place for a family with small children too. Grace was so cheerful and had great advice about the area.
